A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State,Omooba Dotun Babayemi, has counseled the reinstated local government chairmen in the state to assuage the pains of the people, particularly those at the grassroots by putting in place, measures that would enhance development.
In particular, Babayemi advised that they should ensure the entrenchment of good governance for the benefit of those at the grassroots so as to improve their living standards.
This,he insisted, could be used to drive away the PDP administration in the state led by Senator Ademola Adeleke.
While congratulating them on their reinstatement by an Appeal Court, sitting in Akure, Ondo State, he noted that the judgement was coming at the time it was most needed for the state to move forward.
“There can not be a better time for the judgment to come than now because our people need to be freed from the grips of underdevelopment as being overseen by those currently holding them and the state down” he maintained.
Babayemi, an advocate of good governance, pointed out that the return of the APC Counci bosses would be an opportunity to put in place, policies and programs that would enhance the living standard of the people.
He posited that as they take over the reigns of government at the third tier level of governace in the state, it would be an opportunity for the chairmen to show the world their ability to add values to people’s lives.
“Our people at the grassroots have been impoverished and are suffering from the maladministration of those currently steering the ship of governance in the state. Your coming back is a sort of intervention to mitigate their long sufferings by leading the pathway with good developmental policies and programs” he further advised
This,he added, would help to send packing, the visionless administration of Ademola Adeleke from the state, imploring that all hands must be on deck in order to achieve it.
“Kindly represent us well by doing the right thing so as to eventually free our state in 2026 from these misguided individuals currently parading corridors of power in the state” Babayemi pleaded.
