Alhaji Bello Adegboyega Basheer (BABS), has extended warm congratulations to His Royal Majesty, Oba Abdul Rasheed Ayo Olabomi, Odundun IV, the Aragbiji of Iragbiji, Honorable Minister of Marine and Blue Economy and the entire people of Iragbiji on the occasion of the 33rd Iragbiji Day celebration.
In his felicitation message, BABS commended the Aragbiji for his exceptional leadership, which has been pivotal in fostering unity, peace, and progress in Iragbiji. “Your reign, Kabiyesi, has brought unprecedented harmony and growth to Iragbiji,” he remarked, highlighting the role of the monarch in preserving the cultural identity of Iragbiji while steering it toward modernization.
BABS also recognized the significance of Iragbiji Day, describing it as a celebration of culture, unity, and shared aspirations. “This day is not just a cultural milestone but a symbol of the resilience, commitment, and dedication of the people of Iragbiji to their heritage and development,” he noted.
Reflecting on the theme of this year’s celebration, “Consolidating Our Frontiers” BABS emphasized the importance of collective effort in ensuring the continued growth of Iragbiji. He urged the sons and daughters of Iragbiji, both at home and abroad, to leverage their resources and expertise to uplift the town and make it a model for other communities in Osun State and beyond.
He also used the occasion to celebrate the contributions of Iragbiji’s indigenes, praising their unwavering dedication to the socio-economic and cultural development of the town. “Iragbiji stands as a shining example of how a united community can drive progress and leave a lasting legacy for future generations,” he said.
In a broader address to his constituents in Ifelodun, Boripe, and Odo-Otin Federal Constituency, BABS called for the continued unity and harmony that have become hallmarks of the constituency and stressed that peace and cooperation are vital for fostering sustainable development across all communities.
As part of his congratulatory message, BABS also acknowledged the contributions of His Excellency Alhaji Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola, whose impact on Osun State and connection to Iragbiji continue to inspire pride among the people.
BABS prayed for the continued prosperity of Iragbiji and the long and peaceful reign of the Aragbiji. He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting initiatives that enhance the development of the town and the Federal Constituency at large.
