Okuku Day Celebration: Eniade Storms Hometown Amidst Funfair and Wild Celebration

Okuku, the headquarters of Odo Otin LGA was agog yesterday as royal fathers, eminent sons and daughters, well-wishers gathered to celebrate the Okuku Day 2025.

The well attended celebration marked by heartfelt community spirit saw a massive turnout and assemblage of indigenes from various households and family lines.

Highlight of the event was the grand entry of Hon. Eniade Damilare Francis, an APC Chieftain in Ifelodun/Boripe/Odo Otin Federal Constituency and the Chairman of Eniafe Foundation, who stormed the venue to a rousing welcome from his teeming supporters and political associates in Odo -Otin LGA.

Eniade who hails from the Agboluaje Family in Okuku thanked indigenes of the town for their show of love towards the development of the town, he praised the Olokuku for giving the town a charismatic and pragmatic leadership which has birth immeasurable growth and development for the town.

Eniade who arrived to a rousing welcome amidst drumming and funfair was visibly elated to be part of the celebration.

The atmosphere was electrifying as traditional rulers, family groups and indigenes gathered to celebrate the towns heritage.

In a significant gesture, Eniade announced a personal cash donation worth millions of Naira to support the development of the town and drive the needed growth that the town requires.

“It is a great pleasure to be back home within my people to celebrate this year’s Okuku Day. Okuku holds a special place in my heart, this is our heritage and I am committed to contributing to it’s growth and development. I am dedicated to it’s prosperity and welfare of our people” he said during his brief but purposeful address.

The donation was received with commendation and loud cheers from attendees at the event just as Eniade’s gesture has been seen as a symbol of his dedication to the people of Okuku and his desire to give back to his direct community. His donation is expected to have a lasting impact on the development plans of the town. While his presence at the celebration serves as a testament of the strong relationship that exist between him and his root.

While receiving royal blessing from the royal fathers in attendance, led by the host, HRH The Olokuku of Okuku Kingdom, Eniade was praised for being a noble son of Okuku who has made the town proud as a philantropist, successful businessman and youth advocate. He was further lauded for associating with his root and giving back to his society, stating that “Eniade is a pride of Okuku”.
