TOWMA Slams “Pseudo Majiyagbe,” Declares Osun West Agitators as True Advocates for Justice

In a charged response to allegations and criticisms aimed at their movement, The Osun West Majiyagbe Ambassadors (TOWMA), a group within the All Progressives Congress (APC) advocating for Osun West’s gubernatorial aspirations in the 2026 elections, have dismissed claims of imposition as baseless and divisive.

Speaking on behalf of the group, TOWMA’s Coordinator addressed the party faithful, asserting that recent rumors of party leaders attempting to impose a candidate for the gubernatorial race are unsubstantiated and contradict the APC’s commitment to fairness, inclusivity, and democracy.

TOWMA firmly declared that the term “Majiyagbe,” which symbolizes justice and fairness, belongs rightfully to their cause. They argue that if any agenda within the Osun APC deserves this title, it is their fight for Osun West’s representation after years of being marginalized.

“For 26 years, Osun West has been denied the opportunity to represent the state at the gubernatorial level. Despite this, our district has consistently supported progressive candidates, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to the party’s ideals. What epitomizes ‘Majiyagbe’ more than this dedication to equity and justice?” the Coordinator emphasized.

The group highlighted the historical imbalance in Osun’s political landscape, where other senatorial districts have had their turn at leadership while Osun West remains sidelined. This movement, they argued, is not an attack on the party’s unity but a clarion call for fairness and inclusion, which they believe will strengthen the APC’s chances in the 2026 elections.

TOWMA condemned attempts by opposing factions to discredit their movement through blackmail and manipulation, calling such tactics a distraction from the party’s core values of progress and justice. “Blackmail is the weapon of the weak,” they said, urging party members to see through these divisive strategies.

The group pointed to overwhelming grassroots support for their cause and expressed confidence in the competence and vision of potential candidates from Osun West. They argued that nominating a candidate from their district would not only address historical grievances but also present a strategic advantage in the 2026 elections, uniting the state under an inclusive banner.

“We remain resolute in our advocacy and stand against any attempts to intimidate or coerce those supporting this just cause. Our vision is rooted in fairness, unity, and progress—values that define our great party.”

TOWMA concluded by reaffirming their commitment to the party’s success and urging all APC members to join in championing the cause of equitable representation. With a rallying cry of “APC: My Party, Your Party, Our Party,” they called on party loyalists to work together for a brighter future for Osun West and the entire state.
