President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is in Enugu State today, January 4, 2025, to commission a series of groundbreaking projects executed by Governor Peter Mbah’s administration.
The Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Chidiebere Onyia, described the visit as a historic moment, marking the president’s first official trip to the state since assuming office.
Among the projects to be commissioned are 30 completed and fully equipped Enugu Smart Green Schools, part of a larger initiative to construct 260 schools across the state’s wards.
The president will also unveil 60 completed Type 2 Primary Healthcare Centres out of the planned 260, as well as the Enugu International Conference Centre, a state-of-the-art multi-auditorium and multi-functional facility.
Additionally, President Tinubu will commission 90 urban roads in Enugu City, a cutting-edge Command and Control Centre, and 150 patrol vehicles fitted with AI-enabled surveillance systems. Several rural road projects are also included in the itinerary.
This landmark visit underscores the federal government’s commitment to fostering development and highlights Enugu State’s progress under Governor Mbah’s leadership.
