2018: You stole Ogunbiyi’s ticket at PDP primaries, failed to honor agreement, group tackles Adeleke

Osun Movement for Equity & Justice has berated Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, for claiming he won the 2018 Governorship election but was rigged out by the actual winner of the poll, Mr. Adegboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The group through Comrade Sikiru Adegbuyi, the Secretary General said it observed that Adeleke went boasting around recently claiming he was rigged out by the eventual winner of the poll, even when INEC never declared him winner of the election, nor was he returned elected by the court.

The group urged Adeleke to cast him mind back to the daylight robbery he and others perpetrated in 2018 at the governorship primaries of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) held at GMT hotels in Osogbo, where the main contender for the party’s ticket, Dr. Akinade Ogunbiyi was robbed of victory.

The statement read, “The whole world has not forgotten the daylight robbery perpetrated by Adeleke and his gang of armed and unharmed robbers when they switched off light and stole over 200 votes of Dr. Akinade Ogunbiyi to fraudulently secure victory at the primaries.

“As if that was not enough, Adeleke, after running from pillar to post for many weeks, eventually got the attention of Ogunbiyi and entered into a gentleman agreement with him. He never fulfilled the agreement and he didn’t stop until he frustrated the gentleman Akin Ogunbiyi out of PDP.

“Not only that, every voice of sensible people in PDP then was an irritant in the ears of Adeleke and his fellow mandate thieves. We were abit taken aback that a notorious election rigger like Adeleke was pushing a jaundiced narratives that he won election in 2018 when INEC never declared him and he also lost in court to Adegboyega Oyetola of the APC.

The group affirmed that if it is not lack of conscience on the part of Adeleke such claims should never proceed out of his mouth because of his antecdents. Those who live in a glass house should not throw stones”

“Maybe NSA and CJN should invite Adeleke to explain to them what he meant to have claimed victory when he never won any election in 2018. We wish him speedy healing, as he still appears to be hurting over 2018 election that he lost gallantly to the eventually winner.”
