Former media aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, has strongly criticized the government of Senator Ademola Adeleke, describing it as hopeless and uninspiring.
Omokri, popularly called the Tableshaker for his iconclastic political commentary, made the submission today on his social media platforms.
According to the former presidential aide, “Under President Bola Tinubu, federal allocation to states, including Osun State, has increased. Yet other than dancing, what has Governor Adeleke got to show for that rise in allocation?”
Comparing Osun with Ekiti, he said the state has generated less internal tax revenue than Ekiti State even though Osun has more population, land mass and natural resources than Ekiti.
He said Governor Adeleke has failed to put to better use the economic advantage the state has over Ekiti and many states, as Osun’s Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) for 2023 was the lowest in the whole of Southwest.
“To put things in proper perspective, Wizkid’s Morayo album has generated more revenue in two weeks than the total Internally Generated Revenue of Osun State in 2023,” Reno explained.
He attributed the governor’s nephew’s (Davido) remarks about bad leadership in the country to his experience in Osun where his uncle in two years in the saddle has taken the state back to the primitive age as he has failed to provide good leadership to the people.
He mocked the governor, advising him to seek the assistance of the ace singer, Wizkid, on how to increase revenue since he lacks insight on how to make money for the state he governs.
