The minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola CON, has expressed deep gratitude to friends, associates and other Nigerians from all walks of life for identifying with him on his 70th birthday anniversary.
He thanked the Permanent Secretary of the ministry of Marine and Blue Economy, Oloruntola Olufemi, the Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Olanipekun Oyetunji, Laroye II, the Aragbiji of Iragbiji, Oba Abdul Rasheed Ayotunde Olabomi, other monarchs and religious leaders, the Osun State All Progressives Congress (APC) and other well wishers for attending a prayer session in his honour, even when he was not physically present.
This is even as the minister appreciated all the Chief Executives and Executive Directors of the agencies under his ministry for sharing in his day of joy.
In a statement from the Minister’s spokesperson, the minister specifically thanked the Osun market women and men, the youths, and artisans for their show of love which was demonstrated in action during the series of programmes lined up for the event.
He noted that the overwhelming turnout at the weeklong medical outreach and the prayer session which was devoid of political differences was a demonstration of Osun people’s undying love and passion for his person.
“On behalf of my family, I appreciate all of you for respecting my wish to have a low-key event.
“The large turnout is an indication of the love and passion that the people have for us, and a show of appreciation of the modest achievements that God had used us to achieve while at the helms of affairs in Osun. I promise that I will not let you down as minister of Marine and Blue Economy as well,” Oyetola said.
