Kwara State Sets Common Entrance Exam Date, Warns Against Illegal Fees

The Kwara State Government has scheduled the Common Entrance (Placement) Examination for Junior Secondary School admissions across all 16 local government areas for Saturday, August 10, 2024. Accreditation will begin promptly at 8:00 am at various locations throughout the state.

In a statement from the Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development in Ilorin, the government cautioned against examination malpractice and illegal fee collection. It was emphasized that the state has covered all costs for the placement examination, and any principal or headteacher charging pupils will face legal action.

The examination date is confirmed to remain as announced. Pupils must bring their screen cards, signed by the principals of their selected schools, to be admitted to the examination. Without a valid screen card, no pupil will be allowed to participate.

Principals and headteachers are responsible for ensuring their pupils are aware of these requirements.
